Peter’s paintings of spectacular, timeless and dramatic landscapes, are depicted in his distinctive, vivid, colourful and enthusiastic style. His influences come from being attracted to the ephemeral colours of morning and evening light causing the scenery to become intensely vibrant. For over 40 years exhibiting his art throughout Australia and overseas, in places such as Japan, Spain, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore and The United States, he has also given time to lecture on his work, be an advisor and curator of exhibitions in many of these places as well.
One of Peter’s constant inspirations, comes from his travels to the Flinders Ranges and surrounds whilst often basing himself at The Prairie Hotel, Parachilna. From there he has ventured out to the Lake Eyre areas and the river estuaries of the Cooper Basin as well as other spectacular locations within the area from which he has produced many of his works.
